There are so many natural props out there in parks and gardens at this time of year, and for a photographer it's part of the fun of creating pictures to first of all see the beauty around us, and then maximise these natural settings and capture something which may only be there for a short time.
When I saw this stand of graceful flowers I thought straight away how cute a setting this would be with children in amongst the stems, engulfed by such a mass of delicate flowers.
With a little location like this, it certainly beats the old 'stand up against the wall and I'll take your photo'. Backgrounds for me are critical, and can make or break the best photo. Using imagination, and an awareness of what's in the photo other than your subject will always give you great results.DavidBrewer.com.au
