FEATURE PHOTO
This image is actually a combination of 5 separate photos taken over a period of 12 minutes as the sun was disappearing from the sky. The camera was on the tripod in this position for 48 minutes, and

using a cable shutter release I took a burst of 3 bracketed exposures every 4 minutes.1. OUTER FACADE
Preferred exposure.

2. Drawing a Photoshop mask the building facade is isolated on one layer.

3 & 4. The layer's transparency is adjusted to 71%
Time 6.30.23pm Exposure 6.0 at f/11 Exposure Bias Value +0.67 ISO 200

5. KITCHEN, DINING & LIVING AREA
6. Photoshop Layer Mask is drawn to isolate this area also.
Time 6.35.56pm Exposure 1.6 at f/11 Exposure Bias Value -0.67 ISO 200

7. UPPER WINDOWS & LIGHTING
8. Best contrast exposure is also
masked on another layer.Time 6.50.10pm Exposure 12.0 at f/11 Exposure Bias Value -- ISO 200
9. KITCHEN, DINING & LIVING AREA
The downlights in the kitchen weren't on in photo 5 so this lighting was almost perfect for the whole of this area.

10. Because the downlights against the cupboards were overexposed, the floor area in the kitchen had to be partially masked by airbrush to reduce the intensity of the lighting on the floor and allow the unlit floor from photo 5 to partially show through.
Time 6.42.55pm Exposure 2.0 at f/11 Exposure Bias Value -0.67 ISO 200

11. SKY
To finish off, this photo is placed below all other layers and it's beautiful rich blue sky contrasts perfectly with the outer facade.
It was after this was done that I changed the transparency of the facade to 71% because it was a bit too bright.
Time 6.42.51pm Exposure 3.2 at f/11 Exposure Bias Value -- ISO 200

The final result is as stunning as you will see anywhere, it was planned, and the plan worked perfectly with amazing results. Less combining of night time exposures was required to achieve the rest of the finished photos, but this was the jewel in the crown, and had to be spot on.
Start 6.00pm Finish 6.48pm 36 photos.
